    SOCCER TEAM
This website has an official soccer team. Did you know this? I didn't, either. Until about two weeks ago, when I was on the computer and found the myspace page of this soccer team.

Their name is "toothpastefordinner.com". That is the name, including the com and everything. I didn't ask these dudes to rep my website so hard, but they did anyway. So I am going to tell you about this soccer team. They are from Pennsylvania and they are mostly under 18 so I am not going to give out their personal information. Unlike everyone I knew in high school they seem to party. The kind of party that you hear about but you don't get invited to, ever.

The high school parties I went to were like "Okay, now we're going to watch Monty Python" and just, you know, the whole room is just stuffed with Reeboks and Doritos. Dudes have little catfights over whether Mountain Dew or Dr Pepper is better. You know what I am talking about. These soccer guys though, that is how they are rolling, just on a regular Tuesday out of the week, they have a nice shirt on and their pants are clean.

And they are totally pumped. But anyway. So these guys bought a bunch of shirts from me, which happens here and there, it wasn't too unusual. I didn't hear anything more about it, but then I ran across their myspace page when I was searching for something unrelated on google. And there it was, the toothpastefordinner.com Soccer Team. One of the team member's grandmothers took the shirts I sent them and ironed numbers on the back. And that is what they play soccer in. "Canada" t-shirts.

You guys! You are fighting for your own status and pride, surely, but you are also fighting for my status and pride. If you lose to some team called "Canton City Lumber Mill Tornados" then my website will lose to the Lumber Mill.

"I just checked and the Lumber Mill has a higher alexa ranking than your site, dude."

I hope this blog entry pumped you up to take some good pictures for the Toothpaste For Dinner 2006 Contest Where You Can Win All Manner Of Free Stuff because it is just a taste of how interesting the contest will be if you send in some good pictures. It's like every picture is a brick in a bridge that takes you out of your crappy hometown and to a city full of promise and homeless people. Every picture is a dream that you steal from a baby's mind. Okay, I will leave the rest to you as an exercise. I got to go take some long-exposure photos of car headlights and start a photoblog.
